Sorry for not coming back, basically I replaced all my cables with cat7, it didn't help as I still face the sea issue, yet am happy with the full control over my router.
PS: it might be related to the Power Adapter am using yet it says the connectivity speed is ver 350MBs
Hi Qandil, I might be able to help... It is very unlikely that an ethernet cable would be the problem (if you are getting 1000Mbps on your interface already) and that the power supply would be limiting the network speed (if your router is not freezing/rebooting). Can you please describe your network arrangement? What devices do you have connected? How are you measuring network speed?
I would appreciate that, basically, I use fast and speedometer to test the internet connection, right now if any device is connected to the main router ASUS RT87R am getting 250MBs from the same router I've connected another router which is the DLINK DIR-853 using a power adapter in the middle, both ends are using cat7 cables.
the PA is TPlink with 1GBs ethernet using their tool it says speed is almost 350MBs between the two endpoints.
I was thinking of taking DLINK down and connecting directly to the PC ... but I am not sure if I did that, tried also swapping the PA adapters ... sadly it didn't help.
From the speeds you are getting, it doesn't seem to be an interface dropping the rate to 100Mbps. For better control of your tests, I'd suggest you using 2 computers, one hard-wired to the RT-AC87 and one to the DLINK 853. This should give you the actual local network bottleneck, and would allow you to segment the network (say without the DLINK or without the PA81010P) to see where the problem is.
@kar200 was wondering if the router supports a vpn client, I’ve seen other padavan routers have such option. I wanted to connect the router to a vpn so all devices connected to it get another ip.
I am pretty sure the openvpn client is installed. The option is just not easy to find on the web interface.
Have a look at this link (in Chinese). If you scroll down you should see a screenshot on where to find it and configure it (I have not tested it myself).
Is that from the stock firmware? Yes that is correct you can.
Also the stock firmware will not accept anything else but its own firmware or the padavan.
The firmware needs to be encrypted as well as have the proper header for the stock firmware to even flash it.
Even when it flashes it it needs to be checked again for checksum at boot time and if it is corrupt it will flash back the stock firmware. If it is correct though it will overwrite the backup copy with padavan and this is where you have to be a bit more careful if you want to flash again something else.
Hello Mr @kar200 I have the router Dlink DIR-853 A3 from Etisalat and I want to get another software to connect it to another internet provider, can you please reupload the bin update file. I will be so pleased
and i have another question are you arabic ?
Thank you,
First Of All Thanks For PADAVAN firmware(Dlink 853 A3) You Make Our Routers LIFE not alive
my basic concern for this post is i am in a situation i have 3 same routers (dlink 853 a3) before padavan firmware we are using them as a secondary router through wire(DHCP) and they are working fine (just for routing internet for other floor) and have no features like padavan. After padavan 2 of my routers are working fine like charm but 1 of them is stop working WiFi of padavan firmware even the WiFi leds become dead and i got a message in wireless and wired info section WIRELESS RADIO IS DISABLED i try everything which i know but now i am willing to revert it back to stock firmware just for Verifying that is there a bug while upgrading firmware(padavan) or a hardware issue and you are the only person who knows how to revert it back .
Hi Naeem. That is weird indeed. Can you please try and hold the reset button down until it resets and see if that changes anything?
I am not sure why would that be but I am on my phone and once I get home I will check again (as I haven't done it for a while) and send you the files.
I believe also the file shared a few posts above (maybe you used that one) would have the stock firmware decrypted and the instructions on how to flash it back.
I also have openwrt now which works very well (maybe wifi performance not as good as padavan) but I have been testing it for the last 3 days or so and it works well.
Yes i have downloaded stock firmware but there is very little instructions on it i have tried to flash it back but failed.
can you please Guide me with specific right commands ( step by step ). and also can you share with me openwrt .
I cannot test at the moment but it seems that the instructons were nicely added by @kenan1099 .
I don't know what OS you are using but depending on the OS you need to copy through ssh (scp) the file "DIR-853-A3-Stock-Dec.bin" in the /tmp directory.
The login through ssh or telnet to the router and run the following command
mtd_write DIR-853-A3-Stock-Dec.bin Kernel
This is for the Dlink stock. Let me know if your wireless is back to life and I will send you a encrypted copy of openwrt that you can jsut flash directly from the stock firmware.
