Wifi keeps turning on and off again and sometimes I can't reconnect at all, even on LAN

I have an Asus RT-AC2400 which I have been using with the Asus RT-AC85P OpenWRT image and it has been working just fine for about 2 years.
Recently, when I first turn on my PC or laptop for the day I sometimes have no wifi or LAN connection to the router. I reset the router by cycling power and it usually works though I sometimes have to do it twice to be able to connect to it.
I have not updated since I first installed OpenWRT, or soon after, so I thought I would updated it which I first did via Luci. I planned to do a clean install and even though I opted to not save anything, all my settings remained and I had the newest software, all my settings and it behaved exactly the same.
I then decided to do a fresh install for which I used the Asus flash tool to flash the OpenWRT imagine on the router in recovery mode, this is how I first installed OpenWRT it and it worked just fine, installing software packages and setting up also worked fine but the problem seems even worse. It seems mostly stable on LAN but when I use wifi on my laptop the router disconnects all wifi devices at times and they reconnect after 30-60s. I only managed to check the PC connected via LAN only once but this was also disconnected during these short disconnects.
This sometimes happens more than twice an hour and after a few of disconnects it just doesn't reconnect be it on LAN or Wifi and I have to reset. The short disconnects probably happened before the software update as well but it was a lot rarer.
I normally only use the 5GHz connection, I tried switching to 2.4GHz to see if anything would change and it behaved the same.
All this said I am not sure if this is a hardware or software problem that got worse and I am hopping that the issue is obvious to someone but if it's not, I plan to try the original router software to see if it's hardware problem with my router.
Any ideas?

Since I got no responses I started doing some tests with the original software and another router. I'm >95% sure the power supply got damaged in use, not enough to not work, just enough to cause issues when the router needed more power so it behaved even worse on the original software which probably uses more power.

If it's not too late... let's take a look at your config:

Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:
grafik
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:

ubus call system board
cat /etc/config/network
cat /etc/config/wireless
cat /etc/config/dhcp
cat /etc/config/firewall

I don't have OpenWRT installed right now, I've been using the router with another power supply and the original software. I will probably reinstall OpenWRT in the next two days and reply if the issues persist but my current guess is the problem is solved.
PS: I know, I'm just did not have time to reinstall OpenWRT yet.

The power supply is a potential culprit if the problem is hardware related... so you may still be able to use OpenWrt with that alternate power brick.

Back to OpenWRT, works just fine with the new power brick.
