Unsuccessful to configure mt7915e driver, please advise where i am wrong

I had installed Wi-Fi module in it.

And i was unable to start AP with every parameter combinations i tried (i tried hard :sweat_smile:)

23.05.3 saw a driver bump (2023-09), I'd try that first, then test a main image, to see if that solves it. You're seeing the same messages virtualised and on bare metal?

I kind of flooded this forum for the past week trying to make my own mt7915e card working (AsiaRF AW7915-NPD) on an x86 machine with 23.05.2 and 23.05.3, it runs fine with 22.03.6 though.
Here's my thread about it.
Unfortunately, I do not think this problem can be solved, I think it just boils down to the kernel not playing nice for this chip. The reason I think it is the kernel is because I tried Debian 12 on the same hardware and the card is recognised and AP is working but only for the 2.4GHz radio, the other one can't be used.
I am by no means discouraging you to try and make it work, but just from what I have found messing around, I don't think it is possible.

yes. same behavior. initially, it was VM, so i had retry on bare metall.
