Can anyone tell me if there is a u-boot for GoFlex Net?
There is one gor GoFlex Home specifically
https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/18.06.2/targets/kirkwood/generic/u-boot-goflexhome/u-boot.kwb
Is this supposed to work for both GoFlex Home/Net?

Do you ever look before you ask? https://openwrt.org/toh/seagate/goflexnet would be a reasonably obvious place to check, and it answers your question.
Prepare on PC
Download files (change the 18.06.2 in the following link into whatever is the last OpenWrt release)
https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/18.06.2/targets/kirkwood/generic/u-boot-goflexnet/u-boot.kwb
https://www.google.com/search?q=u-boot+goflex+net
Plenty of answers there as well
Actually yes...
I don't suppose you actually tried that did you?
If you had read and thought, it seems unlikely that you would even consider cross-flashing a different U-Boot
You're the one with the device. You've already learned how to recover a Kirkwood device.
I meant did you try clicking on this link?
Just click and tell me what it says.
I liked your earlier version of that post better, "Did you click the link?"
No, "I was told never to click a link that was given to be by someone I didn't trust." ![]()
I already have done too much by even giving you the link.
So, let's think through this, something that you would be well served by doing yourself for a change
So now we can be pretty sure that you never went that far.
So I have no need to click that link, and you have no need to ask me to. Now, as you've already been asked
You should also plan what you what to accomplish.
Let's see, why don't you tell me two ways that someone could get a copy of the boot loader from the information you have, and that you have a build system running.
No, I don't troll on the FreeBSD boards, but given that it is my OS of choice for many things and have been using it for over 20 years. When you see a post related to another, niche OS you use, you are likely read it. When you see a familiar name and style, it sticks in your head. Regrettably, your style has a unique signature to it, repeated thousands of times, without exaggeration
I don't mean to offend you but... 2500+ messages on a FreeBSD forum yet you haven't yet tackled password-less ssh access? That baffles me..

I'll ask again since I haven't received a clear answer. I report a problem with a broken link and rather than acknowledging that the guide does in fact have a broken link I get a patronising post about how I'm supposed to know the answer to my question.
Just to remind anyone who may have a similar query... the guide

Incidentally you didn't do too much by giving me the link, i had been following the link when I discovered the error.
My query was whether the u-boot for GoFlex Home could also be used for GoFlex Net since the guide seemed to point to a different, but none existant one.
I installed the one for GoFlex Home, but have no idea if I may encounter some unexpected problem at some time.
Alternative sources of u-boots have different ones for GoFlex Home and GoFlex Net. How different they are I don't know.
git log package/boot/uboot-kirkwood
diff is a useful tool as well. I guess mc as a crutch isn't helping you much.
I'm confused, AGAIN.
