Are you trying with a keyboard attached to the hardware (I suppose not since you're talking about serial)? I'm not sure if OpenWrt includes HID drivers now. It used not to.

Nope, this is serial console.

It works in grub, so the "issue" is in openwrt. ...

Well that's odd! The only console difference to the oem bootlog is that openwrt is also bringing up tty0 and then detects 2 serial ports.

Have you identified what the black connector is on the left hand side? Looks a lot like the vga port connector on my HP thin client - could be able to get vga out from the board..

There are settings for two ports in BIOS.

Could be, don't own a fitting cable, can't test it ... :confused:

Adding to the data about this device the OEM is Axiomtek Model NA342 and a Users Manual is available.

Played with it for a while today, since I'm setting it up for a friend.

The manual says CN5 is indeed a VGA connector, as @jdwl1o1 suggested.

Manual also says the mPCI connector have two slots, one wired for SATA.
My device only had one slot, and it seems to be the CN11, without SATA.

I also noticed the box will boot Linux from both USB ports.
