Dear Friends,

I was planning to install OpenWRT in my Tp-Link TL-WR841ND v8

When I was searching it here, but v8 is missing -

But, here, it is listed -
https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/18.06.8/targets/ar71xx/tiny/
(search here for - tl-wr841-v8-)

Should I use this firmware?

No, 18.06 is too big for this underpowered device.

But, here 18.06.8 firmware version for my v8 is available.
Should I try that firmware?

You will run into this problem: Flashed rom changes aren't persistent
