Tenda AC18 router

Hello
Is it possible to install the software on the Tenda AC18 router?

See the Table of Hardware for supported Tenda devices.
If your device is not listed there, it is not supported.

Tenda AC18 is basically a clone of the ASUS RT-AC68U router, will it be possible to install the software from ASUS RT-AC68U or has anyone tried it?

Can install merlin but idk why openwrt dont support it.

Because someone who owns the device (i.e. @gorgonit and yourself) must be willing to port OpenWrt to it. It doesn't occur magically.

I own it but I knows nothing about how to Port it.

Here's some more information:

https://wikidevi.com/wiki/Tenda_AC18 here is some info.

This Router almost same that Asus AC68U rev.A, exept some GPIOs i think. Is it possible to build FW with Tenda GPIOs if i provide info about it? Thanks.

Is there any effort to port OpenWrt to this device?

Well I have it and an TTL/USB Cable.
How can I identify the hw models?

It seems to be supported by tomato and asus merlin.
This could be a really good AC wireless router if it is supported by openwrt.

The wireless never will be, so unless you'd be looking for a wired router only, this device remains useless.

Well, Tenda AC9 is already supported by openwrt . why not?
