I use OpenWRT on my Fritzbox 4040 and have installed the Software mailsend, so I am informed via E-Mail, if there are new Software-Package-Upgrades (Tutorial to be found here, Point 5, in german).
Does somebody know, if i can use mailsend, so i get an E-Mail, if there is a sysupgrade for my router? Or is there maybe another way for me to be automaticaly be informed when there is a new sysupgrade available, rather than checking manually the Website every few days?

You can subscribe in the start page.
opkg upgrade can result in major problems. It is generally highly discouraged, unless you know what you are doing or if there is specific instruction to do so.
