Is there a way to configure and upload the wireguard config (client) in the openwrt GUI? Just curious.
Yes. This assumes you have luci-app-wireguard installed.
Create a wireguard interface. Then in the general settings, look at the bottom of the page and you will see Import configuration and a Load configuration... button.
"Upload" a configuration snippet, no.
"Configure" in the graphical webinterface, yes.
