ROG Rapture GT-AX6000

Is it ROG Rapture GT-AX6000 supported by OpenWRT?

Nope. It is not. You can check two places (no entries):

https://openwrt.org/toh/start

https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/

Considering the hardware of the Asus GT AX6000 router, is there a possibility that it will be supported in future?

Iam noob for routers. :frowning: what is DTS?

So sad... this is great router... :frowning:

there are tons of great, and unsupported/able, routers out there ...

Change its to the RT-AX89X (rev.B1 or rev.B2) router if you want to install OpenWRT.

true, but still sad

And now Iā€™m not at all sure that IPQ8074 (ROG Rapture R1) is installed in this router.
Apparently router GT-AX6000 still have an Broadcom BCM4912 A0 installed (ROG Rapture R2.02).

seems there are several versions of this thing

Many people write that version ROG Rapture R1 did not go on sale.

... and R2 appears to be BCM - OpenWrt on ASUS GT-AX6000 - #2 by Warlock

Broadcom is not supported by Openwrt?

it's Broadcom not supporting open source, but if you're OK with 802.11b wireless speeds, go for it.

understood, thanks for the answers

I can't find the RT-AX89X in the available devices. Is this router supported?

:!: Under Investigation - looks like a great target but needs work :!:

It is 4 years after this router was released, and still, it is "under investigation". Any chance it will get the firmware? Any ETA?

The chances increase as more people jump in to assist in development. Can you help?
