It is possible. There are Linux drivers available. But I am afraid there is no simple step-by-step solution for Openwrt.

Have you got a suggestion about an easy to install dongle with openwrt? The antenna should be strong enough (5db) to catch a wifi signal not so close to my router. Thank you in advance.

No, there are no good AP capable USB WLAN cards. A simple is better and often cheaper.
