I will barter a deal:
I will tell you, roughly, how to do it in OpenWrt (enough you can finish it with some legwork) if you agree to kill this thread/topic and never bring it up again.
Deal?

Deal?
I have no idea what I am even looking for in the user guide
I did know there was a openwrt manual for everything
but I though you meant a RE305 one
It is a yes/no deal...
I'm about to mute you and never see another post of yours.
Decide.
it depends if it works
and if 5GHz works
ok then, deal
even if you just tell me what to search on the user guide
I have been delaying send this for over 15 minutes
deal and I will get this thread locked after and save the information locally on my PC
In wireless pick a radio and choose scan. Choose your router and enter the password. put this radio in the wan interface.
Take the other radio and make it an AP. put it in the lan interface. You may get better results if you try reversing the client radio and the AP radio.
Interfaces can be called anything so IOW the scanned radio is to be in the wan firewall and the AP is to be in the lan firewall. This should be already the case but just so you understand it is the firewall that decides what is outside and what is inside.
You now have a network that is a client of your router on one radio and an AP on another radio.
Anything messed up would be because you have tweaked things so if it does not work reset and do it again.
Since the RE305 is already behind a firewall you can accept everything in the re305 firewall setings.
If you do any legwork at all you can find solutions for any problems you have using search.
I fufilled my end of the bargin.
I do not guarantee you will get the throughput you want; but you agreed not to bring up that issue ever again.
If you have DHCP or any other problems that have nothing to do with throughput, make a new thread and stay on topic.
Do not bring up this issue again.
Please ask that this thread be locked, as agreed.
Pre-Warning I'm mad about this
I know I should closing this but like I though radio0 can only be used for 2.4GHz and radio1 for 5GHz
unless you can override it in the config
2.4GHz is not suitable for anything other than smart home devices
like I said before
so there was a catch to the deal
Also Please stop making me out to be lazy and not wanting to do any work
if I had have read that as well, I wouldn't have accepted the deal
what have I done to you
so yes if we go with this setup, I need two 5GHz radios
so three radio device
so you have basically wasted my day
like I said there, I am annoyed now
anyway this will be my last post, unless you accept you was wrong and did not read my needs,, I will just have to work out my own solution
I honestly don't know why you are so mad at me for no reason
@psherman or any other moderator Please close this post unless @LilRedDog says otherwise
@anon79750093 - I will happily close this thread.
Please do not open any future threads about your wifi speeds with these devices. It is futile, and it is a waste of everyone's time.
