Plusnet hub one repeater setup

I am using the internal wireless for the STA and a usb wireless adapter for the AP
current issue I have:

  • ethernet speed and wireless speed limited to 110Mbps
  • DFS not working on the usb adapter

DFS issue

the cpu usgae is going to around 100% on both cores with 110Mbps
it was only around 50% with my other devices

I also want to apologies for my previous threads
@LilRedDog I am sorry, for creating 500 posts about the exact same thing, (is that everything, think so, Sorry if I missed something)
@lleachii I am sorry, I should have listened and just created a new post after the solution and I am sorry for not using correct punctuation

@LilRedDog @lleachii I fell like the setup has the potential to work, and if it does you will never have to talk to me again

Let's slow this down a bit; just, because...

I have noticed a tendency of you not reading a reply more than once and you miss, critical, advise.

Then everyone gets frustrated; not just you.

If you would only slow down, read every word, one at a time, and only reply when you think you have, really, digested what it has had to say, you would have more coherent replies and we would be able to help what you, legitimately, misunderstand.

Nurodivergent...
I don't know the numbers but I like to joke that if you cannot find yourself somewhere in the DSM, you are not normal.
And then there is lost in translation.

It is incumbant upon you to grasp that not everyone has English as a first language and some actually use google translate, and different languages, inherently, impose different ways of thinking.

So it is up to you to get in their head.

Here in the US I can assure that the North East 'agression' that a Southerner might take personally is not, at all, personal. That is in the same country using the same language.

So, just slow down and read every reply twice or three times before you reply back.

too fast....

Dont reply yet...
replying

I read them about 5 times sometimes

I understand that, and I am sorry for it

thats my problem, I can't slow down, I read fast, type fast, talk fast, walk fast

yes, I am thinking I am neurodivergent, that's two people how have said that to me now, and I have also said I might have ADHD or autism or both

I also have to correct my spelling a lot because I type to fast
get fixated on things and get annoyed when there not right

I never thought about that, and translations can be poorly done as well

I already read a sentence 5 times before understanding it sometimes

so I am going to take about 30 minutes break to make sure I am fully calm before continuing, if you have any information that would help me, please post it, (does the tone sound wrong there, because it does to me, but ?I don't know how to correct it)

it took me around 8 minutes
I reply too fast
I sit waiting for a reply sometimes

anyway this is getting off topic

30 minute break now for me

Yes, waiting for a reply can be a type of addiction.

Log out, walk away and set a 30 minute timer.

Let's go step-by-step. I'll only address the DFS issue first (not sure why you insist upon listing more than one issue) - we'll try 1 at a time, troubleshooting one step at a time. As noted to you before, troubleshooting a list of issues in one topic can become very confusing.

  1. Let's try a valid config/combination (channel 48 is invalid for 80 MHz bandwidth).

What happens if you set channel 36 at 80MHz bandwidth?

Reference: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels#5_GHz_(802.11a/h/n/ac/ax/be)

well that works
anything above 48 does not

36 will work as well

or broadcast on channel 40 for some reason was not expecting that

I should probably use my android tablet this windows UWP does not support bandwidth

Apologies, once again, that fast - I honestly don't understand you.

Given your config says channel 48, it seems you're you knowingly set an invalid channel and then posted an issue.

Is your DFS issue now fixed by setting channel 36?

Yep, you already confused me. Is your device working on channel 36 or no?

I was not aware 48 is invalid

but it did broadcast on channel 48

no, its not 36 is not DFS

DFS is above channel 52

36 is broadcasting on channel 40

Imma rephrase and only ask once more. Is your wireless issue fixed or no?

You lost me again. Maybe this is you're misunderstanding of the radio spectrum and wireless bandwidth.

Can we stick to the questions and just answer those. Thanks.

was it not clear

I want to broadcast on a DFS channel, yes wireless works on channels 36-48 but there not DFS

thats just what my apps aree telling me

I guess I'm not explaining the problem nor the solution well - or you're pretending not to understand. Nor does it seem you reviewed the WIki chart.

I'm done and will let someone else try to explain it to you. I wish you well on "solving" your issue (FYI - you're not experiencing a problem, remember when I said in another thread that I hope your frustration about DFS wasn't over laws, it seems it is).

Why?

DFS is regulated. The radio must shut down if it detects a radar hit, and it must wait before coming online to ensure that the airwaves are clear. Therefore, DFS is less reliable as a channel because it may shutdown at any time, and it takes a while to come up because of the mandated wait time.

Most users are best advised to avoid DFS whenever possible. This is particularly important if you are using a wireless backhaul since it is even that much more important to have a consistent radio connection.

I understood the first time.

If your screenshot said 20 MHz instead of 80, the channel would be 36. Again:

Please try to understand what we're explaining to you. Please take time to review it.
