What I don't understand is why it always worked in https and now it doesn't work anymore. In fact, https does not work and I think this would be solved first don't you think?

Installing wget-ssl might solve the problem.

chicken and egg problem ... how can you install anything if you can't even update package list ..

Of course, it can be done manually using luci, uploading the package

I agree. Where i can find the ipk package for wget-ssl? Thanks

easier to edit /etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf (or click configure opkg in software page on the web interface) - change https to http ... then it will work

install what you need

then edit it again and change https to http

Solved in this way:
from :

  1. /etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf- changehttps->http`
  2. from ssh opkg install wget-ssl
  3. from /etc/opkg/distfeeds.conf - change http -> https
  4. from ssh opkg update for test if it work (and it works)
