Hi community,
thanks for this amazing project and our interesting forum.
The USB-C power delivery socket got loose from my One's main circuit board. I have a friend who could solder a new one to the board, but I can't figure out which socket to pick in EU.
In the hardware docs it's marked as "CN1", but I couldn't find further information at:
Can you please assist to identify a compatible USB-C SMD PD socket?
One a side note, is there a possibility to disable POE module?
I won't use it in the foreseeable future and I imagine I could save some power disabling it.
Thank you.
The OpenWrt One is a PD (powered device) -- that is, it will accept PoE as a power source.
It does not provide PoE output (such devices are known as PSE or power sourcing equipment).
Thanks for the clarification. So there is no sense in disabling POE for power saving.
For the power socket, I chose a default Molex 217179:

They are pin compatible and fit into the case.
