Hi!
I've just received my new openwrt one and I'd like to update to latest first thing
What people recommend to update to in https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/ ? snapshot or "downgrade" to 24.10.0-rc2?
The documentation is not very clear about what is the recommended action
Cheers,
Javier

Start with 24.10-rc , less hassle with stable version.

Unless you have a specific reason to use a snapshot (enjoying experimenting for example), usual way to use a device is to install a stable release, or at least an rc in your case.

All OpenWrt kernel packages are built to match that version, and are saved permanently.
Most ordinary packages are stable and will continue to work with the -rc2 release.
The best advice for the "unavailable package" problem is to install …
