I have installed openwrt-24.10.2-ramips-mt7621-dlink_dir-2660-a1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin on D-Link DIR-2660.
When I create a Wireguard server the web UI is unresponsive and I have to reset the device. How I can gather debug information for that I can report this issue in details?
Also which stable version can you recommend for OpenWRT witch is working without issues with Wireguard?
24.10.2 works very well with WireGuard... I'm using it myself.
Typically, crashes like that may be the result of a configuration error. Let's take a look at your complete config.
Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </> " button:
Remember to redact passwords, MAC addresses and any public IP addresses you may have:
The device is not reachable via SSH. There no also Web UI. If I reset I will lose the configuration. I used tutorial step by step to configure the Wireguard.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFEff3geYdU&t=191s
You can use failsafe mode to regain ssh access and then pull the config files that way. (failsafe is not only for resetting -- you can view and fix broken config files among other things)
I very rarely ever actually watch the videos that people link (I don't usually have time), but I spent a minute watching this and I see that it has some information that is wrong. Don't follow that guide.
We'll see if we can fix your current configuration, but you may be best off simply resetting and following the official wiki:

The problem here is that you've used the same subnet for your Wireguard network as your lan. They must be unique and non-overlapping.
Change your Wireguard address to something other than 192.168.2.x -- so maybe 192.168.53.1/24 for the main interface, and then 192.168.53.2/32 for the peer (note also that this is /32).
You can delete this:
In the firewall, remove the lan network from the WireGuard zone, and also remove the masquerading and mtu_fix lines:
This should be removed and replaced with a rule (not a redirect):
Instead, the rule will look like this:
config rule
option name 'Allow-wiregurd'
option src 'wan'
option dest_port '51280'
option proto 'udp'
option target 'ACCEPT'
After making those changes, restart and things should work normally.
Thanks but I have a question. My idea is to have this OpenWRT router with Wireguard VPN Server so that I can access internal devices from outside with VPN client. I think that I need to have Wireguard network as as same as the internal Lan.
The general idea:
OpenWRT will have a public WAN IP 123.123.123.123.
Internal network server which want to access from VPN client remotely will have IP 192.168.1.129.
Internal second laptop will have IP 192.168.1.10.
Default internal gateway for all internal devices 192.168.1.1
In that case what IP's I need to set for Wireguard VPN Server?
Unfortunately again issues: I tried to configure the router with your edits but when I'm connected from outside via VPN client I don't have access to internal hosts or Internet. Any idea why?

Furthermore your internal hosts have their own firewall which has to allow traffic from the wg subnet 172.16.1.0/24
@psherman Can you advice please what I'm missing? Right now when I connect to Wireguard server from outside using VPN client I don't have access to internal hosts or Internet.
