Was wondering is there a way to use openwrt to turn a five port commercial modem router into a manage or unmanaged switch ? My idea is to put it between modem and actual router and create a mirror port to see watch goes out to ISP from my network
To make a managed switch:
- Go to Network > Switch
- Turn VLAN 2 on WAN to "off"
- Turn VLAN 1 on WAN to "untagged"
To mirror a port, set the following as appropriate in your scenario:
