Hello,
I have installed OpenWRT on a Netgear R6080 and my intended goal is to use it as a wifi card essentially for my linux machine.
The problem I am having is I cannot get traffic from the LAN interface to the WWAN gateway.
I can ping from the linux box to the openwrt router, to the internal interface of the openwrt router that connects to the wireless gateway, but i cannot ping to the wireless gateway and i cannot understand why.
Here are the IPs
Linux 192.168.1.194
OpenWRT LAN interface - 192.168.1.1
Open WRT internal WWAN interface - 10.0.0.50
OpenWRT WWAN gateway - 10.0.0.1
From the diagnostics page of the OpenWRT Router i can ping both the Linux box and the gateway as well as devices on the internet but i cannot get traffic to go from 192.168.1.194 to 10.0.0.1 or beyond.
I have tried IPv4 rules for lan -> wwan and wwan -> lan, static routes, port forwarding. I cannot figure this out. Any help is appreciated.
Based on the fact that you have different subnets for the two networks, it should be fairly straight forward...
Please connect to your OpenWrt device using ssh and copy the output of the following commands and post it here using the "Preformatted text </>
" button:

Remove wwan from the lan zone and put it into the wan zone.

OMG Bro.... I am laughing sooooo hard right now at how simple and obvious that was. I have a degree in network administration FML... clearly I am super rusty. Probably because I havent used it since 2013 but, details.
Thanks a bunch!
