Thank you for the much anticipated OpenWrt 23.05.0-rc3 third release candidate!
Running on Linksys WRT3200ACM.
Looks good. Kudos!
I previously reported an issue with OpenWrt 23.05.0-rc1:
Active DHCPv6 Leases report Lease time remaining: expired
I am pleased to report this issue appears to be resolved in rc3.
Thanks!
I did flash a new sd card and start from scratch.
Also running on a Linksys WRT3200ACM nearly 3 weeks. No issues. Thanks...Great job!!
I need to flash my SD card with sysupgrade EXT4 or SQUASHFS?
Definitely Squashfs so your SD lasts
Any word on the first stable build coming out soon?
It’ll be released the moment it’s ready.
I wouldn't worry about the final release, just try an rc build they are almost perfect. Not a single crash, issue, or hiccup of any kind on my WRT32X. Other than the long broken software flow offload but i'm not expecting anything there it might be an upstream thing, doesn't mean much since SQM performance is fantastic.
there is a wiki for everything:
I regard rc3 as being stable, at least on my Linksys WRT3200
Has anybody been running this on the ER605?
Yes, see: Looking for info and possibility of (future) support of TP-Link Omada er605 Router - #241 by ZOzo
What is ath10k-board-qca4019 used for?
I replaced the CT stuff (it's 3 years behind the official Qualcom version and I don't need IBSS) by adding the following parameters to ImageBuilder's PROFILE=
-ath10k-firmware-qca4019-ct ath10k-firmware-qca4019 kmod-ath10k-smallbuffers
(The last one is necessary because ---for some strange reason--- the CT driver version is auto-selected even when I pick the official non-CT firmware for the build.)
But the board firmware is never auto-selected for this device. WiFi is working without it, so it's definitely not mandatory for basic functionality. Is it for Qualcom reference developer boards and software developers (debugging and such)? Or does it allow any kind of "extended functionality" for regular users as well?
Also, I wish to use seamless/fast roaming. The ct-htt version's description claims that the HTT version might be needed for .11r roaming. "Might." That is very insightful. This only makes me confused if .11r is should work with the official firmware or I need the CT-HHT version for that. (I mean... is HHT a custom addition in ct-hht by Candela or is this a CT version that does not cut HTT out of the official base firmware?)
The device in question is Mikrotik HAP-AC^2.
I tried installing it and the "dmesg |grep -i board" didn't change. It's always:
[ 0.975613] MikroTik RouterBOARD hardware configuration sysfs driver v0.07
[ 0.976858] MikroTik RouterBOARD software configuration sysfs driver v0.05
[ 13.815794] ath10k_ahb a000000.wifi: board_file api 2 bmi_id 0:16 crc32 d140cd7d
[ 17.095733] ath10k_ahb a800000.wifi: board_file api 2 bmi_id 0:17 crc32 d140cd7d
with or without ath10k-board-qca4019 installed. The board_file seems to indicate that board files should be loaded but there is no explicit mention of this in dmesg.
Archer C6 v3.20 - here
Just flashed router with OpenWrt 23.05.0-rc3
Flashed with the option to retain settings
all appears to be working.
It's all looking as healthy and fit as a fiddle so far
Weird issue with relayd and DHCP. Even though I set option ignore '1' on the lan interface, clients still get an IPv4 address provided by the repeater.
Had to set option dynamicdhcp '0' as a workaround.
Using a Xiaomi Mi Router 3G. I don't remember having this issue with 22.03.05.
Does anyone have a MT7621 device with ethernet working at 1Gb/s?
I just upgraded Cudy WR1300 and Xiaomi Mi Router 4A gigabit to 23.05.0-rc3 and they are now both stuck at 100Mb/s. ethtool prints Link partner advertised link modes
without 1000baseT/full
, but that is wrong. It looks like the speed is filtered somewhere. I tried also 23.05.0-rc1 and it's the same. In 22.03 and earlies versions it worked fine.
Edit: Power cycling the devices fixed the issue. Maybe some setting in the switch needs to be reset by the driver?
I upgraded my Linksys WRT3200ACM to 23.05.0-rc3, doing a clean install. Everything has been running fine.
Thanks for the developers for putting out this release!
It works fine for me. I have cudy wr1300 and archer c6u that both work fine.
18 days and counting: Asus AX53U 100% stable, lots of family / home office use. Very well done and thanks to all involved. Looking forward to 23.05 final release.
