Seems to be related to this commit:

I just manually added luci-app-opkg to my imagebuilder package list since I use luci-ssl.

I have the System>Software LuCi menu item on all the devices I flashed 23.05.0-rc1 on so far, a Netgear WAX202, a Belkin RT1800 and a ZTE MF286D.

Wow...OK...cool, thanks!

I just added it to my image too.

Odd, it must be a Firmware Selector thing with using luci-ssl.

It seems so. I'm using the firmware selector with luci not luci-ssl

As he always does, @dave14305 has got to the cause of the problem straight away. Great to see you here Dave, I always enjoyed your posts on the other forum.

More informative to read the pull request comments.

Software is not missing on Linksys MR8300 (built in firmware selector with extra packages).

But I added these luci packages (which are the same present in the manifest of the default build):
luci luci-app-firewall luci-app-opkg luci-base luci-light luci-mod-admin-full luci-mod-network luci-mod-status luci-mod-system luci-proto-ipv6 luci-proto-ppp luci-ssl luci-theme-bootstrap

How do you find these things so fact?

Just curious.

OK, you has already included it.

I upgraded from 22.03.2 on my WRT1900ACS and i got the same message :

"bad dhcp-range in line 42 of config /var/etc/dnsmasq.conf.cfg01411c"

so impossible to access any device or internet, except with ip address, no more dns, so i too reverted back to 22.03.2

Part of it is curiosity and familiarity with the code structure, and the most important part is being a nerdy loser…

Actually no. The last build was 22.03. Right now i dont see the memory being an issue for 8/64 version

Netgear WAX202

option sysfs 'green:lan1'
option sysfs 'green:lan2'
option sysfs 'green:lan3'

The don't seem to exist anymore.

Resulting issue: I cannot turn off the LEDs. Under normal circumstances I could wait for rc2, but this is a cause to revert because it's on solar/battery.

Useless tagging.

LE: it's an intentional change for now, though some people that want those LEDs turned off will be upset.
Probably another change that should be mentioned in highlights..

Confirmed, they are no longer listed on LuCi LED Configuration > LED Name, though you meant lan1, lan2 and lan3 eg:

option sysfs 'green:lan1'
option sysfs 'green:lan2'
option sysfs 'green:lan3'

Can you explain [exactly] how you find these posts?

Thanks.

Correct, that's the UCI config syntax.

Oops, I see what you mean - a copy paste error. Thanks!

I get notified when there's chatter in topics I've replied before.

  • I didn't tag you
  • I want them to see the exact post made - relevant to their device

Or do you mean GitHub?

If so, I don't understand.

I didn't say that you did.
I've only pointed you to the commit that causes the issue.
The commit is wider, not only one device affected.
And by "useless tagging" I've meant that it's an intentional change, for now, not a bug.
I've made additions to my previous post, for clarity, I hope.

So, you didn't find the GitHub...you happened to know as you were in the conversation?

OK cool, well those who have that device are aware. I understand now - thanks!

(confused about the "useless tagging" comment, though)

Wait, are you saying that this is by design?!?!

"Upset" - I'm gonna have to change a lot of devices. My use case is actually needing all lights off for quite a few devices. They were purchased for that reason.

Is this for all MT devices???

@hauke - yes, can we add this infomration?

I commented in GitHub asking for this commit to be reverted (I honestly don't understand anything discussed explaining the commit, I just asked it be reverted).
