No access to the usb 3.0 (2TB)+router | SAMBA4 | ntfs (only NTFS) disk, no access by Windows 10, OS etc

Hello Dears,

I have no access to my hard drives ntfs via windows 10 and iPad.
Working with ext4 very good, but problem in settings on samba. Please help me!!! Thanks a lot !!!

are these disks hosted by the router, or by the Windows device ?

Hi, on the router by usb3 cable in the usb3 port.

and how does ext4 come into the picture, since you're mentioning ntfs ?

With ext4 all working good, but with ntfs problem with open disk, I can’n see the files. I have just the massage about access to the hdd and you need to apply for network administrator.

from where, hosted by whom ?

HDD+router +samba4+ext4 --------------local network ---------- laptop (windows10)

                                                TV LG

                                                  IPHONE X

                                                  IPAD

working good!!!

Did you install the packages required for NTFS FS support?

Yes, all packages, I compared with Instruction on site and youtube.

Then post the dmesg of when you attach the drive.

What is dmesg? Kernel log?

Also Used flashdrive on ntfs.

You might want to fix this first.

Can you could me show where it is? at least about.

it can go into /etc/fstab, if you have one.

DO NOT use the obsolete kmod-fs-ntfs, use ntfs-3g instead.

ssh IP ...

opkg remove kmod-fs-ntfs
opkg install ntfs-3g

ln -s /usr/bin/ntfs-3g /sbin/mount.ntfs

Guys, thanks a lot !!!

ssh IP ...

opkg remove kmod-fs-ntfs
opkg install ntfs-3g

ln -s /usr/bin/ntfs-3g /sbin/mount.ntfs

And then reboot the router!!!

Everything worked, it works !!! :+1::handshake:

Thanks a lot for:
frollic, LGA1150 and F5BJR!!!
