Hello, I have the same problem, did you solved it ?
Install @scp07 build 19.07.5 unmark save config very stable no issue at the moment great daily driver someone was gentle enough to post it in the install guide so follow that you should be fine
Running @scp07 build 19.07.5 for weeks without any problem in AP mode.
I only had one LAN interface problem last week:
Radio 2.4 & 5 Ghz were OK.
Clients are able to connect to radio, but no connection.
I tried to reach device through LAN interface -> no way (no ARP reply to mgt IP)
The only solution was a reboot.
I have no detailed information about the problem.
Lan interface frozen ? bridge problem ?
On reading the symptoms announced, you have the same problem as me. Look at @mlis post 954 and 956 normally you should have the same errors in the Kernel Logs.
I have the same and the only way is indeed to reboot the router
Yes I also have the arp replies being dropped. I have installed quite a few versions in the last few months and they all have the issue. I also have an archer C7 that has been on the same recent versions and it does not have the problem. Based on this I think it is specific to this chipset. Until a few more people run into this mine has been put on the shelf.
Did anyone get the 160mhz channels working? I see errors in syslog about channel not being supported from hostap. IW config shows 160mhz supported at channels 100 and above...
I unfortunately couldn't solve it. I tried flashing @scp07 's 19.07.3 and 19.07.4 and both had the same issue for me. I then installed AsusWRT firmware and it's been perfect, no issues, very stable.
I honestly can recall which exact version of AsusWRT that I installed, but I'm pretty sure that the below info is correct:
Firmware: RT-RM2100_3.0.0.4_382_52289-geac6f28.trx
Link: https://github.com/lukasz1992/asuswrt-xiaomi/releases/tag/3.0.0.4_382_52289
Installation instructions are here (double check that the "ubi" and "kernel" parts are correct, there are examples earlier in this thread):
First of All, sorry my bad English.
I have a black version of AC2100 with stock rom. A couple of days a router rebooted and show blinking orange color. I try to reflash the Chinese repair tool, no success, the router shows blinking blue, but if i reboot the device it shows blinking orange again.
I was try TFTP also, but it is the same blinking blue, reboot, blinking orange.
Any idea? Thanks
(not my video, but is the same blinking)
Dear @Baloo27,
the way how it shown in the video is wrong.
To enter the recovery mode you need to ...
- unplug your rooter
- press the reset button and keep it pressed
- plug in your rooter
- release the button after the LED's are starting to flash fast
If the LED's are not flashing fast, then also the recovery function of your router is bricked and the router can only be rescued by flashing with a programmer.
Otherwise the MiWiFi repair tool is able to recover your router:

Latest firmware:
http://cdn.cnbj1.fds.api.mi-img.com/xiaoqiang/rom/r2100/miwifi_r2100_all_7d7b2_2.0.743.bin
Watch this video after minute 6:00:
In case that doesn't work you could give try to the method which is described at the end of following video:
Dear @minax007!
Thanks for the help.
The LED flash fast with orange color. I already try the repair tool and PXE, the rom already sent to the device, that give me blue fast flashing light(blue light flash-waiting for reboot?).
Then i reboot:
- orange light
- flashing orange light(and here stuck)

Dear @Baloo27,
I can't watch the video.
If you have uploaded on YouTube, then please share the direct link to it.
During the flashing in the MiWiFi-Repair-Tool you will see a blue bar which starts on the left side and goes to the right side.
Did you see this moving bar?
After the flashing is complete you need to press one more time a button in the PC application.
Then the router should restart by its own.
Just be patient this can take some while.
Dear @Baloo27,
thanks for the video link.
Normally, the router starts blinking after the flashing as it is shown in your video. But after a while it turns to a non-blinking blue LED.
In case it doesn't do that after five minutes on your router I would propose to press the reset button for 30 seconds to reset it completly (the router needs to be plugged in during pressing the reset button).
If that also does not help, than you could try another version of the stock firmware for the router.
Because seeing the blue bar moving during the repair process means that the firmware is being transmitted to the device. So that is fine.
If that also doesn't help, please let me know what you did before to have ended in that situation.
Dear @Baloo27,
in case you are looking for an older version of the stock firmware:

Please try this:
I just saw a video which shows that you need to unplug the router after flashing with the MiWiFi-Repair-Tool, then wait a while and then power it again.
Dear @minax007
The router was freezing a couple of days. It has original fw.
When i power on, stuck with blinkin orange state(reset button not working, its not rebooting)
I was try to reflash all(340,376,722,728,743) fw with the recovery tool, and i try PXE also.
Antivirus, firewall off, ip address static 192.168.31.1 or 192.168.1.1 not working.
So, no luck
Dear @Baloo27,
never give up ... and remember that it is just a toy for grown up kids like us
But if God wills, we will find a solution for that one.
Please set your PC IP adress to 192.168.31.100 and try the MiWiFi-Repair-Tool again.
If this fails, then please set the PC IP adress to 192.168.31.100 and type 192.168.31.1 in your browser.
Do you see a web interface? (Some routers have this, but I am not sure if the AC2100 also have this).
If it has a web interface then you can also flash the firmware over this.
And don't forget to plug off the router after flashing and to wait a while before plugging in again
I have corrected a mistake I have made --> The PC IP address needs to be 192.168.31.100
Dear @minax007
Never? Already try, but still not working. Same orange blinking led. The IP range correct.
Dear @Baloo27,
never ever
That is a strange behaviour of your router. It is possible to get a connection to it. It even accepts flashing. But it does not boot correctly.
Probably the RAM is defective.
If it would be easy and cheap then I would propose to flash it with a NAND-flasher.
But a NAND-flasher for this device costs more than the device itself.
And it is also not easy, because you have to desolder the NAND.
Could you please explain again what you did with the router so it ended up in this state?
Did you run the exploit to get ssh access?
Or did it just happen without any interaction from your side?
Dear @Baloo27,
I have found this debricking instruction for the RM2100, which is almost the identical to R2100:
It describes how to flash the stock bootloader after having flashed BREED.
Well this is not of interest for you. But you could give a try of re-flashing the stock bootloader in case that one does not work properly.
Please set your PC IP address to 192.168.31.100 and then enter the following in a command line (cmd) in Windows:
telnet 192.168.31.1
In case it starts a telnet session, then you should have a look to the "Readme" file in the following directory:
http://downloads.pangubox.com:6380/lintel/Redmi_AC2100/
Just use Google translator in case you are not a native Chinese speaker
If you are looking for a boot image for the R2100 then have a look here:
Telnet unable to connect to remote host connection refused
Without interaction from me.
