For some reason my wireless tab is missing now. 
Has anyone seen this before? I am running the latest snapshot downloaded today. FYI the actual wireless is working just not showing up on the LuCI interface.
This doesn't help you much but I've gotten errors pointing to Luci base the past couple of days when trying to build, could be related. What might help you is regenerating the wifi config with these commands -
rm -f /etc/config/wireless
wifi detect > /etc/config/wireless
I didn't install or upgrade anything though. It just disappeared.
Hi, wifi detect was deprecated. It is now wifi config. In my case it did not restore network->wireless in LuCi. There is no file
/etc/config/wireless
I have tried restoring to stock firmware from nanddump then restart the OpenWrt steps from beginning. "Wireless" is still missing.
(I have made 2 backups. Both restored successfully but none boot up to stock firmware after restoring. Does it mean I will have to put up with this missing netowrk->wireless menu entry?)
It is a Plusnet Hub One box that I am putting OpenWrt into.
Any idea, please?

My understanding would be that wifi config fails to generate a wireless config file when no devices are detected, so check your image, check kernel log for errors...

The Atheros module failed to start up.
I have made two backups of the stock firmware. I can restore them successfully, but after restoring them, neither boot into stock firmware. Having said that, the backup .nanddumps do include cal. data. I have tried restoring stock firmware using one of these backups at a time, and restart the OpenWrt flash steps. So far, there is no success in bringing back the disappeared Network->Wireless menu.
Separately, I have a backup of cal. data. How do I use it?
