Is there any dev working on the NanoPi R2S

Hi all,

I discover this week the nanopi R2S.

It's seems to be a good candidat for openwrt:
CPU: Rockchip RK3328 (Quad-core Cortex-A53)
2 Gb port (up to 941 Mbps)
1GB DDR4 RAM

it's lowcost 30 euro shiped
I think it's a very capable cpu, and it cosnume only 3W @ full load

There is already a fork of openwrt (friendlywrt) running on it.

It's a complety new platform ?

I just finished setting my Rock64 rk3328 board, maybe it will be very easy on your board also

maybe it will be a bit of problem with usb3 port, in your case with second ethernet, it seems that on mine it's not working by default

I'm using Rock64, shouldn't be hard to port NanoPi R2S, just the u-boot for r2s, hopefully with the latest u-boot it won't need any patch.
Routing seems to cap at ~750mb/s down and ~940mb/s up on usb3
don't know why uci set network.globals.packet_steering=1 doesn't seem to make use multi cpus
once this goes in I'll post a PR for Rock64 and look at R2S also

maybe you can chheck on the friendlyarm repo to inspire yourself?

usb3 is not in mainline kernel and maybe is still buggy but the problem seems to be the cpu, one core is capping at 100%
