I bought MTK mt7927 and want to use it as AP. When I compiled it, there was only 7925 to choose from. There was no 7927 in it. How should I choose?
That information is a bit outdated, WCN7851/QCNCM865 is actually working today.
Mediatek MT7925 and MT7927 use the same driver in Windows, but only MT7925 is supported in Linux (and OpenWRT)
Although I have not tried to use MT7927 in linux with the MT7925 firmware/driver I assuming that it does not work since there is no kernel support for MT7927 as far as I know.
OpenWRT doesn't support 7927 yet, right?
Does QCNCM865 support it?
Yes, it works in OpenWRT (snapshot) with kmod-ath12k
