what did I write in my post from 7h ago ?
You wrote this" edit /etc/config/network
and copy the IP related parameters (replacing the IPs) from lan to ahmadwan_4, and change option proto
from dhcp
to static
"
Here to change?
No, you change the same thing you screenshotted.
(I'm not sure why it seems you forget after each post - but if you'd build on the information you've received - it would help you.)
Now you proceed to complete this.
You must use the IP address that is set in the ISPs routers to route to your device. It will not work to arbitrarily set some WAN IP address on your end. It will not route to or from the Internet because the ISP is not expecting it.
The QMI protocol includes a provision for the ISP to push a message advising the proper address for your modem and router, and then by default OpenWrt will configure it on the interface.
If you have an arrangement with the ISP for a "static public IP" (which usually costs extra money, if it is offered at all), they will configure that from their end. Then the QMI push will always be your same reserved IP. No additional configuration of the router would be needed.
I have static ip and i pay extra money for it the thing on the stock firmware i always was geting that static ip from my ISP after installing openwrt this ip dissappeard and now I'm geting dynamic ips !!!! Im trying to figure out how i can get my static ip which i called ISP and he days all good and he see that the static ip is exists but from my end after installing openwrt i only see dynamic ip addresses
I think it won't work i changed ips but on ui it shows same nothing changed so any other way ?
When you go to a "whats my IP" test site, what IP does it say?
- If it is your expected static IP then that means the modem is acting as a router when it should not.
- If that is the same IP that is on the WAN interface that means the ISP has changed your IP.
After, did you run:
/etc/init.d/network reload
Or boot the OpenWrt?
(Reading the Wiki would be helpful.)
I did load and restart. The interface it shows dhcp client never change to static
It shows differant ip address than the one on openwrt
The one on openwrt starts with 10. When i go to check my ip address on google it shows an ip starts with 76
It's been a while since I ran a 4G modem but I think it takes only one interface of proto qmi, which should be named wwan or wan so it is is in the wan firewall zone. Try deleting wan, wan6, and wwan entirely then rename the proto qmi interface wwan.
Actually before doing that run ip addr show so you can see all the IPs that the router has obtained, is the one on cellcom the 76 IP?
Sorry its starts with 176 this one when i check it on google myip address site.
The one start with 10 after i made 4G connection it creates another interface. Cellcom-4 : virtual dynamic interface (DHCP)
- It's still set to DHCP - it seems you haven't edited anything
- It's still not assigned to a firewall zone
