Change to Static IP address and use these settings

I've tried removing the wan Ethernet but still nothing...

Did you change anything on HHt5a after getting it working in DHCP client mode?
I had to disconnect my ethernet cable from laptop.
as i reconnected it to laptop it comes up with the above screenshot.
as soon as it says 'unrecognized network' i lose direct access to the HH5 router
So you have not changed any settings on the HH5a?
Do not turn off the HH5a for the moment.
Have you turned off HH5a since it was last working in DHCP client mode?
Last thing i did was set the static details you sent.
Then i saved it and i had to remove ethernet because my leg got stuck 
reconnect and bam that happens
Have you tried another ethernet cable?
If you unplugged cable from HH5a, try different LAN port
i'm using a brand new one.
also tried every port
Correction: disregard using pinging WAN port. (The firewall rule blocks pinging WAN port I think)
when you turn the HH5a off and on, does it go through the usual flashing green light sequence?
yes it does.
Incorrect static settings for WAN, would not cause the LAN ports to stop working.
HH5a could simply be defective.
Suggest you try a factory reset using button on back (see section 8 of installation guide for HH5a), and start over.
When you previously had it working with internet access, did you use it for extensive period of time (eg. more than half an hour?).
Remember to disable DSL_Control, otherwise, HH5a will randomly reboot when it is idle.

It may be a good idea to enable wifi on the HH5a immediately after you get it working again. See section 9.11 of the Installation guide for HH5a.
If the LAN ports were to stop working again, you can try using wifi.
Hi, I set it back up and played a game on it for an hour or 2 and it works.
left it on over night to and seems to still work.
Set the WiFi up to on it.
