Doesn't work with snapshot either.

Try the image I uploaded with option 2. If this doesn't work then need to wait until the issue get resolved

Maybe. I'm not sure though.

It isn't much work to get the chip you have working judging from the patch that was submitted. Just need a developer to look at it. Try the image I made first.

Let me share my experience on how I successfully flashing Openwrt firmware to my Totolink X5000R wireless router.

Firstly, you ought to make sure your router install with X5000R AX1800 WiFi 6 Giga wireless V9.1.0u.6118_B20201102 stock firmware. Others won’t allowed me to install any Openwrt onto it.
The rest is easy, download and install the Openwrt firmware via stock firmware GUI. There all it is.

Assuming @Ethereal have an X5000R up and running with OpenWRT, he should be able to dump the required partition(s) from his device to file(s), so you can write them to your router from the initramfs.

The issue with op is that his router has a new flash chip that isn't supported by openwrt yet. So even with a flash dump, his device prolly won't work with openwrt. Hopefully the patched image should work for op.

It's midnight here, I'm willing to lend a hand if I could.
Since I am new to Openwrt, may I ask how to "dump the required partition(s) from his device to file(s)"? 
Are you referring to partition of rootfs and rootfs_data?
How sensitive it is if I share this information with others?

Please enlighten me.  At least, an attempt to revive the op's router.

If you are flashing to my compiled image, you need to flash it using totolink's built in firmware updater. Using initramfs version of the OpenWRT to flash would not stick.

Here is a screenshot of my current router running 22.03.5 with my compiled image.

I can reflash again to make sure it works. I'll keep you updated.

Edit: I had 22.03.3 working with my fork and I just upgraded to my own compiled images after every major release. I will test the 22.03.5 image flash from totolink stock image in the next 24 hours.

  1. Power off / unplug power adapter from the router
  2. Set your computer ethernet IP to 192.168.1.X, subnet 255.255.255.0 (X=your chosen ip number ranging from 2-254)
  3. Press and hold reset button while turn on / plug power adapter to the router. Wait untill ALL LAN green LED turn on, then release the reset button.
  4. Plug the LAN cable from your computer into LAN 1 port
    5.Confirm that you can connect to the router by ping 192.168.1.1 from command prompt / terminal
  5. If you get reply from 192.168.1.1, then open web browser, and type in the address column : 192.168.1.1
  6. You will get the X5000R firmware update page, then choose the openwrt-ramips-mt7621-totolink_x5000r-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin file that I pre-compiled.
  7. Wait until the router finish flashing (the router will reboot by itself) : Blue led dan green LAN led will blinking
  8. Revert the computer ethernet ip to automatic
  9. Open in web browser 192.168.1.1 and OpenWRT should be installed.

This should be the firmware version: OpenWrt 22.03.5 r20134-5f15225c1e / LuCI openwrt-22.03 branch git-23.093.57104-ce20b4a

I will be compiling 22.03.3 and 22.03.4 images in case 22.03.5 isn't working for everyone.

@wopo bro, I followed your instructions exactly and flashed it using the sysupgrade.bin image downloaded from the link you provided.Unfortunately I still see "System running in recovery (initramfs) mode". I have attached a picture. What the storage is showing here doesn't look normal to me. Please check if it is ok.Thanks for your guidance. Awaiting further instructions.

Since you got serial, attach the output from it with every flash attempt.
