Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) vs OpenWrt One vs R7800 Wi-Fi

I greatly appreciate your highly technical, detailed, and intricate answer.

I was hoping for something more related to packet steering, offloading, and cpu processing efficiency at those rates mentioned.

Maybe even some sysctl’s that made a difference..

What firmware are you currently running?

Very smart of you to ask this question in this thread.

For MT6000 Im running v4.4 from Pesa.. More info here: MT6000 custom build with LuCi and some optimization - kernel 6.6.x

For R7800 I am running a SNAPSHOT (r28534) from last week..

lol, I just realized why the Flint 2 was being offered with such a big discount!

Oh well. Today the Flint 2 costs the same as the OpenWrt One, but came with free overnight FedEx shipping vs. paying $20+ shipping that would take weeks to arrive. It should do everything I need for now.

I'll be back in two years with a Flint 3 vs OpenWrt Two question!

Cost same as Openwrt at which store ?

Best wifi most likely means qualcomm, such as these new units with IPQ807x:

Mediatek Wifi usually faces more issues. I had a few mediatek routers before and never had a unit that was able to provide stable wifi for the 30 different client devices I have around my house.

I have two Flint2 routers and they perform well in my use. The only concern is that this router's console connector is inside the machine, and you must remove the plastic shell to debug it.

Filnt 2 is awesome and also can run tomato64 software.
