What are the differences on openwrt?
According to their makefiles, it are different projects.
mini_snmpd: http://troglobit.com/projects/mini-snmpd/
snmpd: http://www.net-snmp.org/
Further is surprisingly the snmpd package smaller than the mini-snmpd.

At least according to what I've read, the "mini" version also only supports 32-bit counters, so today's traffic rates overflow them relatively quickly.

SNMPd answer much more informative than minisnmpd (more OIDs are accessible for reading)
