Cannot download files from https connections with Aria2

Hello, I cannot download files from https links with aria2. How can I do this?

By providing more info than "it doesn't work" ?

To start with, have you tried wget:ing the same file directly from the router, via ssh ?

How can I download this file with Aria2? Does it support https?

I haven't tried wget:ing over ssh.

How can I do this with wget:ing? Can you give an example? Are you talking about ssh Openwrt Terminal?

wget https://mirror.rabisu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-releases/24.04.1/ubuntu-24.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso

Yes - to test if it works.

Wget download result

And this question?

Where did you download this firmware?

The firmware I downloaded may be 2023. The trx file in this link says 2024.

Wow.

If you want assistance from the community, let's try the official firmware, instead of a build created by @remittor - https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/23.05.4/targets/mediatek/filogic/openwrt-23.05.4-mediatek-filogic-asus_tuf-ax4200-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

If you need to add packages, use: https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/?version=23.05.5&target=mediatek%2Ffilogic&id=asus_tuf-ax4200

What kind of process should I follow?

What should be the order of operations?

I am using the Web Interface to install Openwrt

We don't know what packages were installed (and omitted) that's causing your issue, you'd have to ask @remittor that.

On official OpenWrt, this found by browsing to: System > Backup / Flash Firmware

1-Install Openwrt using the Web Interface using the trx file in this link.

2-Can I use the sysupgrade.bin file in this link?
https://downloads.openwrt.org/releases/23.05.4/targets/mediatek/filogic/openwrt-23.05.4-mediatek-filogic-asus_tuf-ax4200-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

No (this step is already complete).

Yes - I posted it for your use.

Similar builded image, but only version 23.05.5:

I advise you to simply update OpenWrt firmware to the latest 23.05.5
