Asus TUF Gaming AX6000 support

We already have newest snapshot build with kernel 6.1. Please download from software selector.

Please share a video indeed. It still doesn't help me a lot.

Where and how did you use the credit card? Also I don't have a credit card, but that is beside the point

FYI, I've been on the snapshots with 6.1 kernel and the device seems to be working fine. The top LED is off (woo!) but not sure if that's just a bug while booting.

I spoke way too soon. I updated from r25219-6e2962d4c5 to r25233-6da308f4de and put my router into a boot loop :frowning: Tried the reset switch, that just put it into a mode with the power led flashing. Will try to get a serial console and see what the error is, and try to re-flash the working commit.

Looks like:

Not sure if that bad CRC is something to worry about or not.

CRC = cyclic redundancy check, yes this is bad and implies something is corrupted. I'd try to re-flash with a known image.

/sbin/procd or /sbin/init should be as a init. Could you paste whole log? I already updated my router to 6.1 build (r25210-b0b8fd436f)

It was the latest firmware that broke it for me (I used auc to update from command line).

Ok, recovered with a serial connection and flashing the kernel -> sftp sysupgrade -> sysupgrade. I used the latest snapshot again (r25233-6da308f4de) and its working fine.

It must have been a corrupt auc command for some reason.

Router is back! Will backup before upgrading next time :expressionless:

I suspect this an auc issue. Same problem reported here The OpenWrt Firmware Selector - #709 by vw-owrt Installing a fresh build from firmware selector works but auc breaks it and requires recovery.

After installing the official sysupgrade image, the size of volume rootfs became very small: 0x5d000 bytes = 380 KB
This is clearly an error when building the image!
Must be more than 4 megabytes!

Let me take a look at the image you flashed.

I can confirm that Firmware Selector sysupgrade image for SNAPSHOT (r25233-6da308f4de) worked fine for me.
https://firmware-selector.openwrt.org/

Looks like this is Attended Sysupgrade (auc) only issue. If auc at all.

Hm, I will stay away from the attended sysupgrade moving forward. There are too many quirks there (flashing same image versions and whatnot). Idea is great, but I'll wait for it to stabilize and use the Firmware Selector in the future.

The firmware-selector image of the same version worked fine for me as well. Only auc is producing broken images.

Yes, that doesn't work, sysupdating using a newer image. I reported that earlier.

The power led flashing can means that it is in the ASUS recovery-mode. See my posts above.

This was with a standard downloadable sysupgrade image. I haven't tried with a "created" image via the Firmware selector.

I have flashed multiple images using standard sysupgrade via LuCI or the command line (all except the initial one were custom builds however).

If somebody is willing to test 5GB WAN connection using OpenWRT, please let us know. I'm getting 4G down/down, I would like to know if OpenWRT can handle WAN aggregation (2x 2.5Gbit) correctly, before I flash it. Which would give up to 5Gbit/s on WAN side.

I'm also yet unsure how to aggregate two cables to a single PON connection (which is using 1 UTP cable, will become most likely a XGS-PON fiber connection)... most likely I need to add a switch at my WAN side, but I digress. I would first wanna know if link aggregation is working in OpenWRT.

With the snapshots from the last few days I can't get the WiFi to work.
Firmware with kernel 5.15.37 works fine.

How can I debug where the problem might be?

Is there anyone else having this problem?

I flashed yesterday the latest version compiled by me and WiFi works OK.

ok.
Its been a long time since i was here. ive ordered this model and would like some pointers for flashing.
I know that You had to get the modified trx file.
Is it still walid? or can You flash the sysupgrade directly?
If Yes, when can i find the latest files?
IF:
After flashing the trx do You flash normally any sysupgrade?
When You have openwrt, can You sysupgrade normally?

Thanks for the help.
