Archer C7 v4 Stripped Factory Firmware

I am attempting to go back to stock firmware but need to strip the boot partition out of the factory firmware. Could some kind soul please share some guidance on how to determine the amount of bytes needed to be stripped from the firmware?

Thanks in advance,
Jeff

See the Archer C7 v4 support thread...

Thanks, but I've read through that thread and if I'm not mistaken, it doesn't contain the information I'm looking for.

Flash layout at https://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/archer-c5-c7-wdr7500#flash_layout though does not, in particular, state that the v4 is the same as the v2. How the on-chip addresses are translated to the images is not something I have looked into.

Try this tutorial first, which works for several TP-Link routers, and doesn't require stripping the firmware -

Rename the firmware file archerC7v4_tp_recovery.bin

To close the loop (and this topic):

Instructions how to strip the firmware can be found here: Help required to revert to stock TP-Link Archer C7 V4 EU - #7 by mh3g
