Ok, too bad... I really like OpenWrt.
Please keep me posted.

Arokh, why you removed minissdp patch for minidlna?

(Last edited by coatto87 on 29 Jun 2011, 11:48)

Because the patch is for 1.18.2 and it's becoming too much work to maintain it against the current code. If you'd like to provide a patch against CVS I'll be more than happy to include it.

Enjoy it wink

That's very helpful! Thanks :-)

Arokh, I wasn't aware the reset button would function 'as expected' big_smile I'll try that when I get home.

For point b), I'll look into radvd some more.

My router/modem is an AVM FritzBox 7340 with stock firmware and does native ipv6 as my ISP xs4all does native ipv6. I would like the WNDR3700 to sit behind it and take an address provided by the fritzbox and redistribute other addresses on its LAN and WLAN interfaces so I have ipv6 throughout my house. I thought it would require dhcp6c on the Wan side of the WNDR3700 and cooperation from the Fritzbox, hence my question.

Thanks for the fast reply and all your support in general!

@TQwan

I let my router repair & unpack on the directly attached USB storage. You can tell nzbget to pause downloading while doing par check, quite helpful to the performance.

@FishPants

Here's a build with the switch driver from dd-wrt: http://enduser.subsignal.org/~trondah/test/

Let me know what you find.

Oh, and people please do not send me private messages, this forum is sucky as hell and won't notify me of any new messages. On top of that there seems to be some sort of cap around 13 sent messages, I can't send unless i clean out my sent folder, and there's no "delete all" button.... You're more likely to get a reply in this thread lol

Build r27318 is coming up soon, I recommend backing up your overlay partition (and keep an older factory image ready) before trying an upgrade as trunk has switched to 2.6.39 for ar71xx now, but I have been unable to boot >2.6.37 previously.

In my attempts to get extroot to work, I have an annoying problem:

I can't do any (modifying) operations in the (jffs2) filesystem at all, all I get is "No space left on device". This means I can't edit the /etc/config/fstab to add the necessary mount section, and thus I am stuck.

This is the output of df on my device:

Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/root 6144 6144 0 100% /rom
tmpfs 31004 396 30608 1% /tmp
tmpfs 512 0 512 0% /dev
/dev/mtdblock4 640 576 64 90% /overlay
overlayfs:/overlay 640 576 64 90% /
/dev/sda1 241116 2067 226601 1% /tmp/sda1

I can't even delete any files without getting the no space left on device error. How can I remedy this?

This is the output of du on /overlay:

I would be grateful if anyone could shed some light here.

You've installed packages that take up the space, so you will need to remove them.

Well, I did install nano, but I removed it again. I also tried installing mac-to-devinfo, but that failed. Could there be some remaining files, perhaps?

You already posted the list complete with filesizes.

arokh wrote:

Yes, but I don't know which files may be remnants after the failed install.

All files under /overlay are files either added or modified from /. As you can see in your /overlay/usr/lib/opkg/info there are control files for libncurses, libnet1, etc. You need to remove those packages. The simplest approach if you don't have anything you need there, just delete /overlay/usr.

Ah. Thanks a bunch. However, before reading your post I used a different approach: I used the "Reset router to defaults" option in the web interface, and then just restored my settings from a previous backup. Now I have a lot more space free, and I will try getting extroot to work.

What do you mean by a channel in the range of 149+

I use this router in the UK so set it to the UK country code, how do you get the most wifi power.

Up and running with r27318, booted fine smile

Same here, this build also has fixed issues with HFS+ formatted USB disk for me.

I have a question - how to enable username/password access on samba share? I tried different samba manuals and it never allows to access share with username/password, only guest access works.

I also updated to r27318, which went fine. However, in this release the web interface is really sluggish (pages load slowly, was almost instant before) compared to r27175 which I was running previously.

Got router bricked with a sysupgrade. Also tried to upload the factory via tftp and bricked again :-(
With the last version I mean

With r27318 I am unable to specify the DHCP pool 'start' and 'limit' values (didn't bother testing lease time but I would assume the same).  When I change the values and click apply they reset to the default 'start' of 100 and 'limit' of 150.  Dunno if that's a core build issue or an issue with arokh's build or not though.  I don't know enough to determine sad

For some reason this sluggishness disappeared all by itself, don't know what it was.

When using 27318 my router becomes completely unresponsive after I make any change to 5g radio settings.

EDIT: I re-downloaded & reloaded 27318 , and all is working well so far.

It was a bug in the ui. Fixed with http://luci.subsignal.org/trac/changeset/7254 - I suppose it'll be part of the next build.
