My two cents:

  • OpenWrt is used only to host ser2net and make the dongle accessible from somewhere else. That's nice, but the title implies something more, and can be confusing.
  • Linking directly to the tty device is a bit risky. I would use udev to create a synonym.

how to use udev?

I have both SLZB06M and Sonoff Dongle E so I am in an interesting position to compare both.
