Hello friends,
While trying to install OpenWRT on my router, I used the initramfs.kernel
file from the factory image section of the OpenWRT website. However, when I do that, the router gets stuck in OpenWRT's initramfs mode (recovery mode), and I can't perform any operations.
Then, when I try to flash it using sysupgrade
, my device gets bricked.
Why am I experiencing this issue? Is there anyone who can urgently help me?

Tried https://openwrt.org/inbox/toh/xiaomi/r4ac#installation ?
What's wrong with your post, it's all in bold ?
"Yes, I upload the factory kernel file, then the OpenWrt recovery menu appears."
Where on that page does it tell you to do this, I can't find it ... ?

Do I need to flash the sysupgrade file directly, or should I install the kernel file first? I’ve been told to install the kernel first, but when I flash the sysupgrade file, my device gets bricked…”
Read the debricking chapter on the same page ?
I can't explain, I guess I'm installing openwrt, but openwrt recovery mode opens on the web page, it says later, do sysupgrade, I do it, then the device becomes brick, I'm too bored, it doesn't seem on in 5G mode
You're not following the official guide, we can't really tell what you're doing ...
You could try the mtd write
described in the Openwrt guide, from your initramfs.
https://youtu.be/SLbkce-M2nE? si=Whv4HBtdWEvzaJS2. I follow this article, but it opens in the openwrt recovery interface. I'm asking what to do after the device is turned on in that mode. My English is not good because I'm Turkish
Do what you've been told earlier, follow the debricking guide.
As for YT guides, you're in your own.
Then I will open openwrtyi in initramfs mode, I will enter my mtd write commands, can you give me a short summary, I really need help
That's what the link you got earlier is for...
Can you answer my question? When the openwrt interface is opened, it opens in recovery mode, then how should I connect to the router and flash the image?
Can you read the instruction ?
Shouldn't be too hard to locate something similar to mtd write
on that page, or is it ?
To write out the parts not in clear text, use ssh and scp or wget.
Please don't follow @hoddy guides.
They are outdated, hoddy never keeps them up to date.
Do you have any issues with the instructions on the wiki?
Yes, I can't exit open wrt recovery mode, I'm installing openwrt but it stays in recovery mode
You've been told about two ways of getting out of it, guess you still haven't tried them.
Anyway, have fun not reading the instructions provided...

mtd0: "bootloader" mtd1: "config" mtd2: "factory" mtd3: "crash" mtd4: "cfg_bak" mtd5: "overlay" mtd6: "firmware" My device's flash mechanism is like this, I wrote the file to the mtd6 section with the code in the manual, but it still got bricked, like a joke
Did you skip.the check described in the wiki ?
