Xiaomi Mi Router 4A Gigabit Edition (R4AG/R4A Gigabit) -- fully supported and flashable with OpenWRTInvasion

Looks like some new openwrt-"feature". Have same serious bug on MT7620A. Posted official bug report already, and created some forum message here, too.

Can you link the bug report please.

Hi,

I can confirm that after the commit rollback, everything is working as supposed.

No more jffs2 errors and all configuration and packages remain after every reboot.

Thanks for all who helped to detect and solve (it's a rollback right now) this issue.

Regards.

Is this still working\receiving updates? Is this still a work in progress? I've got this router but I'm having issues setting it to Europe, I need to set it to mainland china or I will not be able to login into my Mi Account. I hope you guys find a way to get dd-wrt properly work on this router. Thanks for your contributions!!

You should have read the post first before asking these questions. A guide how to flash it can be found in the first post or at Xiaomi WiFi Router 3G V2
You need a ch341a flasher ($5 on aliexpress).

Hi,

I installed todays Snapshot (12/03/2020): Powered by LuCI Master (git-20.071.17483-f30b4da) / OpenWrt SNAPSHOT r12529-228bb84744

And all packages you said and no reboots every 3 minutes ...

It works without problems (my own build), thank you for the instructions!

The holes for goldpins are covered with some strange mask - it is difficult to solder on my pcb.

Hi rysss, unfortunately I get the jffs2 error even with your build.

I compiled mine and no solution yet.

I'll rollback to the old firmware. :frowning:
