Wrt841 v7 Wifi not working compiling with CONFIG_ATH_USER_REGD=y

Hi,

I have made some custom biuld for WRT841 v7 for OpenWrt 18.06.1.

The wifi is not working when i compile with CONFIG_ATH_USER_REGD=y .

Running the command: iw reg get
Gives as output: nl80211 not found.

If i complie it with CONFIG_ATH_USER_REGD not set then i do not have the issue.

Any idea ?

Why do you even need CONFIG_ATH_USER_REGD=y
at all?

Well, i's an option in the .config.
Why does that option exists then ?

are u trying to say that an US eeprom card will allow you CH12/CH13 if you set your country code without the user regd option?

I've never heard of such a thing, so I'm not sure what you're asking.

Perhaps this is a good time to note that it is illegal to alter the regulatory settings of a WiFi device.

If you're asking if I can change the county setting on my router with default OpenWrt, that answer is yes (which is why there is no need to attempt alteration of the regulatory settings of hardware).
