[WLan] 802.1Q tag management possible with bridge command?

I was stumped discovering that WLan interfaces showing up with bridge v

WLan_5G 1 PVID Egress Untagged
WLan_5G_Guest 1 PVID Egress Untagged

It is novel that the 802.1Q tag management for WLan interfaces can be done with bridge v instead of having to resort to creating a 802.1Q driver-level interface first, as mentioned in various documentation?
