I just saw a performance regression on my Netgear Nighthawk X4S R7800 when going from 23.05.3 to 23.05.4. I switched back and forth a few times to confirm. I'm getting 600+Mbps wired connectivity on both version but for wireless less than 200Mbps on 23.05.4 compared to 600+ Mbps on 23.05.3. Using a stock installation with no new packages - I think I did reinstall for the 23.05 release and have carried the config forward. Recently got faster internet (500Mbps) so I've been doing a lot testing of late. I had to increase the channel bandwidth to 80Mhz and I have turned on software and hardware offloading - otherwise it is pretty much a stock configuration. The R7800 runs the Qualcomm Atheros QCA9984 and the kernel reports "firmware ver 10.4b-ct-9984-fW-13-5ae337bb1" which I believe means I'm running the ath10k-ct kernel module (I never changed it). Since this is my prod router I can't play with it much but willing to test/bisect for issues. Will post configs if needed.
[EDIT: Fixed in snapshot!]
That is a known problem.
It has been fixed 3 days ago.
So a new build so get that fixed for you
i take it this fix won't be seen until 23.05.5?
Yes or you can get the 23.05-snapshot
For the record this is the commit: https://github.com/openwrt/openwrt/commit/56a84b3c4754f96a64a17bcc9730358ac48ba993

I can confirm that the "Mon Jul 29 09:48:15 2024" snapshot resolves the issue for me. Thanks!
