Hello
I am using an ADSL router, which does not have a WAN port, to convert it into a conventional router, and I have succeeded, but wireless clients do not have access to the internet unless I accept everything in the firewall. This is very dangerous and I also do not know very well what I'm doing, I'm a novice and I do not understand very well all the options of the firewall and whether or not they should be activated, so... what would be the minimum changes in the default configuration of the firewall so that wireless clients would have access to the internet?
Guide used:
I have not used the firewall configuration proposed in this guide.
Those are the proper settings. The important thing for security is to reject input to the WAN. That would be connections coming in from unknown places on the Internet.
Is your wifi connected to the lan (it should be). Then wired (from the other 3 ports) and wireless should work the same. On physical settings the lan should be connected to eth0.1 and wlan0. The wan should be connected to eth0.2
Thanks @mk24. I think that I did it so... I have edited the post to add new images of the configration, to clarify. With this con figuration only wired clients go to the internet.
I do not know why, but surprisingly today after several reboots, and without changing anything in the configuration, wireless clients can connect to the Internet without problems. So I close this topic without knowing why, because yesterday I made several restarts in the same way as today.
