Hello,
I finally updated my RT-AX53U after a while and had to do 22.03->23.05->24.10.2 so I was a bit paranoid and went to manually check the differences in packages to make sure that nothing gets left behind.
I noticed that the version of the wireless driver is mt7915 where in the documentation it says that the WLAN hardware is either mt7905 or mt7975.
Just curious what is the truth. Is the documentation outdated or does mt7915 cover both 7905 and 7975?
Actually it's kmod-mt76-core - and the version is 6.6.93.2025.02.14~e5fef138-r1 on 24.10.2. You may also see kmod-mt76-connac.
Not sure why you think the documentation is incorrect (assuming your WiFi is operational). Nonetheless, it seems you're referring to the wireless firmwarekmod-mt7915-firmware. Yes, it covers those chips as well.
From the row in the table above I surmised that mt76 refers to the CPU and there is a separate column titled WLAN hardware which mentions mt7905 and mt7975.
