Wiki: Dismantle HOWTO page

I noticed that we have the HOWTO page that has two translations:

It looks like previously there was an English page HOWTO that was later removed and all its child pages were moved to appropriate categories.
Still we can see that the Generic Overview page is exists in different translations https://openwrt.org/fr/doc/howto/generic.overview
We should remove the page because it's just a few links to other pages.

The HOWTO child articles should be moved to appropriate categories. For example https://openwrt.org/ru/doc/howto/bittorrent should be moved to https://openwrt.org/ru/docs/guide-user/services/downloading_and_filesharing/bittorrent so that it will be seen in list of translations of the original https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/services/downloading_and_filesharing/bittorrent

I see that other languages doesn't have the HOWTO page itself but also have child pages with translations e.g. Hungarian translations:

So we need to check all languages and move the pages to into appropriate categories.

Sorry, I can't help with that (I don't have any wiki privileges, just a plain and simple user account).

and similar for all other languages. The how-to sub-pages should be moved to same categories as in English wiki

As far I understood we don't have a Wiki admins, right? Maybe we can publish a call for volunteers. Issues are collected and needs to be resolved before it become too hard.

Openwrt have volunteers.
There are dozens of forum volunteers who have wiki rights.
As I don't speak or read Russian or French proficiently, I'm primarily an English speaker with a bit of Welsh and Gaelic, I'm not willing to trust Google Translate for those pages you have linked to.

Are you looking for something in particular, I know @aparcar wants to rework the entire wiki with something else entirely, dedicated pages for packages, hardware etc.

You generally can see the article slug to match old HOWTO pages with their new location. Or translate just a title.
