Wifi bridge to Lan

Hi everyone

My goal is to have my pc connected via cable to a router running OpenWrt (a TP-Link TL-WR740N/ND v1 to be precise) and have that router join a wireless network (which is connected to the internet) as client. I want this setup to give my pc access to the internet and preferably give other devices in the wireless network access to my pc. At one point I managed to give my pc access to the internet, however I misconfigured my router and ended up resetting everything...

So far, I've tried the relayd tutorial (https://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/recipes/relayclient), but I couldn't get it work. I believe I had the masquerading working at one point, but I honestly don't remember since I pretty much spend the whole day changing various settings...

My current Firmware version is OpenWrt Barrier Breaker 14.07 / LuCI Trunk (0.12+svn-r10530) and the Kernel Version is 3.10.49.

I'm looking forward to any advice on where to go

Cheers
Seb

The old 'wiki.openwrt.org' page contained some errors last time I tried to follow it.

There is an updated wiki page, but I don't know if this will work with barrier breaker:

LuCI instructions for Pseudo Bridge in section 9.10 in this PDF for HomeHub 5A running LEDE may be useful reading:

Thanks for the advice! I tried following the guide from the first link but that didn't work. I then updated the router to the newest firmware (18.06.1 in my case) and repeated the procedure after a factory reset. This time everything worked as expected and now I'm fully setup. Cheers!

Please don't forget to mark the thread as solved. Thanks!
