Both on AX53U and AX59U it's maxed out on 25mbits. But on most consumer routers, with 40mhz you can see 90mbits. I set the same, still 25mbits. I don't like to use 5GHz much.
You choose - neighbours or bits.
What's wrong with 5GHz?
I am wondering if it causes me headaches or not. I am a bit of a tinfoil hat guy.
Sorry i don't get it. Also, my former freshtomato ac18 would give even 150mbit on 2.4ghz. That is also open source is it not?
Check channel survey, likely add cell density to treat lower speed modulations as noise.
Weird, on my AX59U 2.4Ghz now gives 100mbit speed. I think problem is fixed for now. These devices somehow, sometimes a functionality works, sometimes doesnt. Totally random.
Depends on the competing transmissions. 5ghz firstly to transmit X data 10x less airtime is consumed, and no legacy (B/G) devices pollute radio waves.
Yet sometimes it feels like it makes my head ache, the 5GHz. I can't decide if it's placebo or not. But I think I could really reduce transmit power. I'll try that.
Maybe you consume too much popcorn whenever video streaming works.
