New thread: Whole house OpenWrt with RE305/RE200
The
ForceDunning Kruger Effect is strong with this one.
I think we are well past the Peak of Enthusiasm and falling headlong into the Valley of Despair.
Hopefully we will soon be on the Slopes of Enlightenment.
The original threads/posts - ad-infinitum - were, I think, about having very variable and unreliable wireless connection for Apple devices between 3 access points, one of which had some kind of link using ethernet, 802.11s, wds, magic... who knows?
Or am I mixing this up with another similar but equally ridiculous set of threads?

Some advice. If you want help on this forum with a problem you have that you do not understand, then start again now. No one will think bad of you if you are honest and you will learn rapidly from the experience of others, most of whom have made their own mistakes in the past and become "gurus" in their own areas of expertise.
For now, forget 802.11r, 802.11s, wds etc and describe in the simplest way and in as much detail as you can, what the problem actually is. Do this without making any very likely mistaken assumptions about a solution involving technology you know nothing about.
Don't leave any part of the problem out and don't pretend that you know all about it but it does not work so it must be the fault of OpenWrt.
The Slopes of Enlightenment lie ahead.
I started from fresh factory reset on the new thread
