Which documentation do I need to read

Hi,,

I have openwrt on a netgear 1043 box. Up and running. I want to have the box connct via wifi to a router. Additionally I want to have openvpn as a client forwarding all traffic over the VPN. I want some of the physical ports to be mapped to the network on the 1043 wifi client and other ports and a server SID map their traffic to the VPN.

I can move ports on the switch but configuring the networks is a struggle and I do not know what i am doing at present.

Can anyone guide me as to which parts of the documentation to read, so that I can understand how to do this.

best wishes

Start with reading sticker on the underside of your router.

Thanks for nothing. Does anyone have a helpful reply.

Step 1: We need to know the exact hardware revision (i.e., the full model name likely found at the sticker on the underside of your router).

Reason: it appears one revision had different networking hardware.

So the question that is being asked of me is the exact hardware model. Many thanks to Lieachii for clarifying this as my initial reading of brada4's reply was it was tellimg me to someking of equivelent of RTFM. A little more clarity would have helped - reading the sticker will not help me. However, I now report it here and it is a TL-WR1043ND ver 2.1. That is the most information I can get off the underside of the router.

I very much hope we have a better understanding. Sorry for being blunt, but I though I was being got at. Hopefull I can now be helped to understand what to read to do what I want with openwrt

Thanks again

It is not netgear

First upload factory image from OEM web, then sysupgrade.
