What to do after bricking the router but using UART to enter in openwrt shell?

I manage to enter in openwrt shell using putty and UART but kinda lost how to recovery my router. I would just like to reinstall, putting vendor firmware and try to firmware upgrade from web interface again or if possible go straight to openwrt firmware.

if there is nothing of value on it you may also zap config (firstboot) from serial

nothing of value on it, just want to recover

what is this ?
zap config (firstboot) from serial

i read the doc link, but still kinda lost what what to do

search for "firstboot" on the page you were given ?

yes, just one question before, it will fix the problems ? because my router is not booting

If your problems are based on a problem in the configuration -- yes.

If you're interacting with OpenWrt via serial, it is booting and working properly from an operating system standpoint. Obviously the networking isn't working as expected, but the system is booting. (you can think of it like a computer without a graphics card -- it can usually boot up just fine, but you can't interact with it easily due to the lack of graphics output)

which one is it then?

brand + name of your router?
tty console log?

tp link archer c6 v3.2

the TTy shows uboot

it also says on the begining
Press 4 or t to break the booting process
pres x to enter recovery web server

but when i press x it drops me in the openwrt shell
busybox v1.36.1
openwrt 24.20.0

root@OpenWrt:~#

and if you don't press x ?

And in that openwrt shell type "firstboot"

/dev/mtdblock4 is mounted as /overlay, only erasing files

When you reboot your router, it should be in the default state and should hopefully work properly again.

its not , it think this last openwrt firmware is not playing well with this router , i have 2 exactly the same router with the 23.05.05 and its working well, when i tried flashing the 24.10 on it i had his problem that it wont boot as expected staying with a fix light on the power led

on the docs i found this

Hard factory reset

Re-flashing the firmware

Re-flash or upgrade the firmware discarding the settings.

sysupgrade -n /path/to/firmware

but trying to figure out how to load the openwrt firmware that is in my pc on it to do the sysupgrade (to the old firmware)

Dont panic, check in that shell if you get internet from wan cable.
Sysupgrade to 23.05.5
why? It is written in release notes that 5ghz radio is not fumctional in 24.10.0 on this devicr.

re-flashing is not necessary to reset the router, although it might be useful if you have a version that isn't working properly in general.

Don't forget that once you've reset your router, wifi will be disabled. You need to use ethernet to connect.

no internet

idk what might be happen , if during openwrt install something got corrupted or if is the firmware that is not wrking well with this specific model

i tried firstboot but got this

/dev/mtdblock4 is mounted as /overlay, only erasing files

This is exactly what we would expect. Nothing is wrong here.

Please use ethernet to connect your computer to your router. Your computer should be set to get an address via DHCP. Then, open a browser window on your computer and try to reach 192.168.1.1. Does it work?

i tried, my computer dosnt even recognize that it has a cable connected to it, also lan light dont show off in the router, and it got stuck just on the power on light, totally different from the others
