install refers to vnstat/vnstati/luci-app-vnstat
on 24.10.4 it should be
opkg install vnstat2
opkg install vnstati2 luci-app-vnstat2

Actually, vnstat and vnstat2 appear to both be available - same for vnstati.
(I'm not sure how to best edit the page.)
Albeit, this is the only LuCI app. Perhaps you can provide verbiage to best replace the current text?
I'll be happy to edit it.
Most of the scripts below are written for vnstat, do they still apply to vnstat2? I’m not sure. Either way I rewrote the intro since vnstat2 is generally prefered. Let me know if that works. If you want a major overhaul I suggest making a wiki account.
Btw in general anytime I update a wiki over the page few months I remove the typical opkg code since that is soon deprecated no reason to keep it. People should be able to write opkg or apk on their own as it is the same for installing any software across all of OpenWrt.
What about the folks running 23.05 and 24.10?
I covered that in the second paragraph above. No reason to even describe apk or opkg on every page, they can use either one depending on their version. There is a page dedicated to CLI software installation. What reason is there to write guides for every historical out of date version of an OS?
The two Releases I pointed to are still Supported Releases.
So be my guest and update every single wiki article across the 1000s of articles to support every old version of the OS. If this sounds absurd it’s because it is. There is already a doc that explains how to install packages. A simple link to that in any page with lists of packages to install is sufficient. Every page shouldn’t need a guide with the 3 ways to install lists of packages.
edit: actually there should be a directive from the OpenWrt decision-makers on the approach to docs for consistency. My vote (as is already clear) is that none of the main 3 methods would be described, just packages listed. The page on how to install packages already exists and can be linked to any time.
Until 23.05 and 24.10 are EOL, I think current wiki pages referring to opkg should have a clear notice that it is deprecated in Snapshot and 25.10.xx going forward.
